Wellington, Saturday. Government liavo replied to Mr Samuel that tlicy will pay tljo expenses, of necessary witnesses in the New Plymouth murder oaso.
The* Political Situation-
Wellington, Saturday. The Premier has not definitely fixed tlio first Tuesday after the opening of Parliament for the delivery of the Financial' Statement, but will unfold his budget immediately the Address-in-reply has been dealt with. Among the measures to bo introduced will bo a Civil Service Bill, dealing with the re-classification of certain departments which particularly need it.
