Under the new Act, future auditors of accounts will be conducted by the Auditor-Goneral, and the annual meetings and elections will take place in May instead of in April as under the old Acts, The Picnic Fund, which bad accumulated to LIOB Cs 9d, has been distributed amongst the' schools in the distriot, and in future the net rents from Tom Acres 42,10?, and liyglbe devoted to scholarships in flttof the now Act, She certificate of Title for the ten bot| adjoining the Park Oval has been received, but the land is subject ta an unexpired loane toMr McKillop at a yearly rental of £2. Every effort has been made to ensure the compilation of a complete voters list under the new Act, and the Trustees consider the result satisfactory, The list has been printed and oan be procured from the Secretary at the low price of sixpence each. The usual grants to schools and public bodies have been made, as will appear in the balance sheet. ■ Messrs Eton and Lowes are the retiring Trustees/and the election to fill the vaoaneieswill be held on Thursday, 20th May, 1890. ■ Wm.JL/owes, Chairman.
