Castlepoint Road Board.

A meeting of the Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrs Maunsell, Langdon and Andrew, The minutes of the previous meeting were read .mid confirmed, The Treasurer reported a balance in Bank of £69 8s

Correspondence was read from tho Alfredton Road Board, re transfer of Crown Lands to that district; from Mr W. MoKenzie, applying for paymontof land taken for road; from Mr Eawßdn, with plan of roads surveyed by him; from the County Clerk, re transfer'of Crown Lands to Alfredton Koad district; frotn Mr Elder, applying to have tho metal on Bjdet's Ijill before Winter; from the County Olerk with forms to be filled of animal accounts; irom Property Tax Department,, re subsidy pajd to the Board's account; from sairie, re rates paid on Crown Lands; frqrn Treasury, re payment qf special rates; from' earap, VP subsidy and rates paid j from Upper Tauoru Ifoad Board, te grant mado to repair road. Tlio Clerk ' was directed to reply to Mr McKenzie,'and inform him that the amount could not be paid for the land until the transfer ; was completed, It waq resolved that the Board's solicitor be instructed to prepare the transfer of land token for a road iljrflug.i) Messrs.
