the adoption, spoke in a vory eulogistic manner of tho energy of their Secretary, and considered that
the present position of the Society was mainly due to his efforts, He also spoke of the great improvement made during the past few years in the stock reared in New Zealand, but it etill behoved New Zealandors to be on the look out against the Americans, for the latter were quite capable of rearing somo very fine stock. Tho followingoflicers wercappointed for tho ensuiug year:—President, Mr W. C. Buchanan; Vice-President, Mr W. 0. Williams; Treasurer, Mr W. Booth, (re-elected), Auditor, Mr F. W. R, Seed (re-elected); Committee, Messrs A, Matthew's, • Russell, J. Druinmond, N. Grace, J. Monekton, H. D. Crawford, J, Martin, junr, H, H. Wolters, and J, Strang. Mr Booth moved a vote of thanks
to the retiring President, and also to the Secrotary for the able manner in which the affairs of the Society had been conducted for the last two years, The motion Was seconded by Mr H. Braithwaite and carried unanimously. The President responded in a suitable manner.
