The Wairarapa Daily MONDAY, APRIL 28, 1890.
A good deal of interest is being manifested in the Mastorton Sohool election this evening, We understand that tlio Liberal party intend running Mesfi's A, W. Hogg, Pinketon, Leahy and Thomas Mackay, We cannot help expressing soma surprise that any party should put Mr Leahy in nomination again after the painful ocourreuco with which bis name was conneoted last year. Wo trust in the interests of the Bchool the candi. dalure of Messrs Hoist, Darnells, MoEwon, and W. M, Basthopo will receive a general support. We would bavo liked to have added to our list the names of throe other candidates who, we understand, are likely to come forward, and who would make satisfactory members, but under the cumulative vote it is impossible even for a majority in the community to fill all tlio seats/ and we cannot thereoro advise ouv friends to distribute heir voting power too freely, lest hey lose the election.
