Sir,-In an illconsidored letter in your issue of Saturday, headed, " Where are the police," it is stated that a number of petty offences have been committed without their perpetrators being detected. Would it greatly surprise your correspondent that the undetected perpetrators of the crimes he enumerates, are the very hoodlums who serenadenewly married couple3,-and whose antics he is disposed to regard with favor?
