THE SWEATING COMMISSION AT WELLINGTON.
Wellington, Wednesday. The Sweating Commissioners, Messrs Fulton (chairman), Blair, and Fisher, looal members, began its sittings tbis morning in the Parliamentary Buildings, The principal witness was Mr ltobinson, Secretary of the Early Closing Association, who said that several trades, notably ironmongers, kept good hours, but that drapers and grocers did not. The Mayor was the head of a deputation to the more important shopkeepers, asking them to come to some arrangement as to tho hours ofolosing to be observed.
