Nino cute wero found on the head; none of them however, fraotured the skull or penetrated tlio brain, His windpipe had heen smashed'to atoms by Borne blunt instrument, as there was no external cut, butsevero concussion. Tho theory is that the murderer used tha blunt end of a small tomahawk, inflicting repeated Uowb on the throat with it, which severed the windpipe, but no' severs external wound was observed. Tho deceased was a nativo of Kerry, Ireland, and had been in tbo colony ovor thirty years, Ho was decrepit, and could not walk without a stick.
