Mr F. H. .Wood held Lis usual fortnightly Stock Sale at the Taratahi yards yesterday, and reports of the same as follows:—Tbeattendauco of buyers was large, and demand for sheep good, but cattle , (except dairy stock) were at a discount and sold at very low prices, the number yarded; however, being conßideraby in eidesi of what had been advertised* Ike following is a quotation of prices reah'sed: Sheep—No wethers were yarded, ewes sold as under, forward stores, 7s to 7s lOd; medium full mouth lincoln ewes 5s lOd; culls 2s 2d to ss; rams 10s to 18s, Calves'Os Gd; ygarliijg steers 16s to Ids; heifers 12s to 18s2 year old steers 26s to Bfs 6d; heifers in' caff 80s to 40s dairy oows 40s to 85s; Mr J, C, Beid's dairy oows averaged 65s ;1 bull'4ss.
