(PER PBEB9 ASSOCIATION,) ' Heavy Weather. " : ' Auckland, April 10. The departure of .the steamer Wairarapa to-day for the South was postponed until to-morrow, owing to the heavy weather.. The heavy easterly gale wliioli has been raging for the past few days still continues. - A high sea is running out in the Hauraki Gulf,.and in the harbour, and some slight damage to yaohts and sailing boats has been inflicted in the port, The rough weather has delayed the departure of various steamers and sailing craft. A small Coasting sohooner of 20 tons, the Perseverance, sank in the harbour off the Hobson-street wharf, The Fiona, which has arrived from Fiji, met with very rough weather on the coast, .

Native LandsAuckland, April 10. The- Minister of Lands, Mr G, F, Eiohardson,accompanied by MrKelly, M.H.R., has visited the Rotorua district, after having travelled by way of Tauranga, At Whakatane Mr Riohardson was informed by the Urewora natives that a resolution had been passed by them declining to allow Europeans to proceed inland to the"Prewera country. Mr Richardson promised that the request of the Natives for a piece of land at Whakatane should be submitted to the Native Minister. The Patuheuheu tribo interviewed the Minister at Teteko and urged that the dispute regarding the title to the Waihou block, purchasedby Mr Piper from Mr Buvt, should be settled by the Supreme Court.
