: At tho ordinary monthymoeting of. the Land Board held yesterday morniug there were present—Mesßra J. W. A. Marchant (Commissioner), , .H,Bminy r V,A;Fitzherbert,W.W. McCardlo, and D, H. Macarthur M.H.B. The sohedulo of land sold showed that since last meeting 2859 a Srds 80pr had been sold, tho upset price being £1590 IBs 9d. A schedule of transfers and capitalisations approved by the Comuiia- •-. sioner was affirmed, ; •; Messrs Jolly'wrote, withdrawing their application to transfer sections-,'; 1, 3, 4, G, 8 and 10, Block XV, ~\( ..' Neilson to capitalise the- unpaid..', : ; section on section 86, Block VII, Mangahao. Applications to obtain titles were ~ approved as follows:—C. It was resolved to receive the y overdue payment on.scotions Bto Id .. Block XI, Scarborough. The Board resolved to cancel the :>v interest of the selector-df section 56, ' Block X, Mangahao, for non-com-pliance with regulations. It was also decided to fix £2O as the value >of; the;;'improvements* . effected by Piripi Waaka on part of )j£ the Kaiwhata Block,' '■):■ " The selector of seotion 81, Blook XI., Mangaone, applied for time to make his payments and/improve-•!; \- m'ents. The Board decided to ascertain what definite proposals tho applicant would make as to effecting his .improvements and making his payments. The selector of sections 9 aud 10, Block XI, Mangaone, applied to havo the land taken off his bauds as he could not meet tho payments.. The, Board deoided to make further en- : quiries as to whether arrangements eouldnetbe made to enable the applicants to comply with the Act. Mr J. Callister applied for 2000 acres of nnsurvoyed land in the, vicinity of the West Taratabi Block. •";■ The Board decided to have a survey . made as soon as a surveyor could' be spared to do the work,
Mr J. T. Hodder applied to be allowed to select certain islands in the. Tauherenikau, River, Kesolved,,. il that the request be not acceded to &£W - he did not own adjoining lands, ■an?T- , it was also decided to consult the adjacent owners ou the matter, " The Board declined to grant 1 ait; ; application by Messrs T. and M.J. flodgins for time to effect'-their, improvements on sections 26 and 27, Blook IV., Mangaoue.,. :
