The School Water Supply.
• (To the Editor.) Sin—Ave we, as householders, to understand that the matter of the water supply is for ever settled ? If so, »ho is going to pay the piper ? Tho contractor lias satisfactorily completed his work, and he should be paid without delay. There appears to be no hope of our procuring the full amount from tho Education Board, tho local committee having admitted the wrong for which they have been chastised. Tho only way I can see out of tho difficulty is to "'pass round the hat." Although this course may be sti-only objected to by Mr Hogg, there oro those in Masterton who, recognising the great boon their children havo derived from the supply, will gladly subscribe tho amount required. Trusting that somo such course will be adopted, and hoping that tho committee have been taught a lasting lesson, lam, &c,, Householder,
