Eketaliuna v Masterton Stars.
A match at cricket to played at \ Eketaliuna on Saturday last between the above Clubs, and after a pleasant J day's sport resulted in a victory for the former by 00 runs. The Master- ® toil " boys" proceeded through the bush in.the conveyance of Mr Iggul- ' den, and were received by their opponents at Eketaliuna. Whether this accounts for the defeat sustained we cannot say, but is is a singular fact that under' such auspicious circumstances tbo proverbial " duck | ogg 11 does invariably manage to pre' ■ dominate. The looal team arrived i home about midnight on Saturday, liigbly pleased with their day's outing.
