TO THE EDITOR. . Referring to the article that appeared in tbo Daily of the 14th inst. Mr Henry Braitbwaite of Waihakeke, brought under the notice' of either the, County Counoil, or Highway Board, what ace important indirect source of revenue to .Wai*. rarapa, and great convenience to tourists,a decent track to the summit. of Mount Holdsworth would be. I. cannot remember that any practical effect was given to Mr Braitbwaite suggestion, but since the Daily has: thought it of sufficient importance, for its leading columns, perhaps more: will now be heard of tho subject; Assuming that the work was all paid for, instead of being done by a bee as . you suggested, it would not amou'jjjf to a large aum,jand as itwould really benefit all parts of the district, pro-; bably all the local bodies, if approached properly, would contribute something, which, if insufficient/ would no doubt be supplemented by' puhlie subscription. Hoping that amatter foaght with as much pleasure as this is to the general public, will not be allowed , to lapse , for the want of able advocates. I ai>' &c, Keckeation.
