Rough Weather at Gialjorue-
Gisuorne, Saturday, Tho heaviest sea known for years was .running on • the East Coast yesterday, and great rollers were forced into Gisborne roadstead, Tho s.s. Wairarapa arrived from Aueltland at 1 p.m. and was to leivo again in the evening, About thirty passengers deoided to spend the afternoon ashore, despite the roughness ®f the sea and warnings given thorn. Tho sea greatly increased and at six o'clock Captain Chatfioltl signalled " I'm off," and the steamer proceeded on her voyage south. Among the visitors ashore were several through passengers to Melbourne. Forty passengers were also booked at Gisborne to leave by the steamer, The s.s, Australia leaves for the south this afternoon, taking those left behind,
