I Georgo Phillip Wiokondeu was lOhargcd' with having attempted to ! convert l cheque for £3 JOs, drawn by Holmes Wavrou, and pleaded guilty to having found the cheque. From the evidence it appeared that accused found the cheque on the Alfredion-Eketahuna road and at tempted to convert it. Accused was cautioned and discharged. • cnuEt/ry to a horse. Alexander Reside was charged with having on .the Kith instant cruelly tlltreated a horse, and pleaded " not guilty." Tho evidence of 1 J. W. Tattevaall, W. Kebble, J. M. Rookoil, and; Constable Cullinano showod that on the afternoon of the 18th instant accused was driving a cart and bad a horse attached to '.he tail piece of it. The horse resisted when the cart niovod on, and went down on its haunchos and eventually on to its side. Tho. horse was released .when Constable Cullinano arrived. Fined Cs and costs lis.
