RULES AND REGULATIONS, 1 All races to bo run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by tho Metropolitan Club, 2 No entry will bo received for any race except upon tho conditions that all Claims, Disputes, and Objections arising shall he decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they appoint, and their decision on all points shall be 6nal. 3 AH Nominations, Entries, and acceptances to bo made in writing, addressed to tho Secretary, Oddfellows Hall, Fcatberston. 4 No Nomination or acceptance will bo received after the advertised time of closing under any pretence whatever, or unless accompanied by the necessary amounts, 5 AH protests must be made in writing to the Secretary within fifteen minutes after the homes pass the post, with a deposit of 2 sovs, which sum will bo forfeited it the protest is not sustained, 6 In all nominations for handicaps, the uamo, ago at time of entry, pedigree, color, sex, and previous performances of tho horse, name of owner, and colors of rider must be given. . 7 Hack shall mean a horso which has never started for other than hack races; and is not at the date of the meeting nominated for othor than hack races. 8 Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of tho stakes. . , 9 All persons intending to withdraw horses arc required to civc notice to tho Secretary in waiting half an hour before'the official time of starting Buch race.
