VVkuingion, Saturday. ; The following telegram has been received by the Marine Department from' the Collector of Customs at Nelson:—" Have received by. letter from Mr H. B. Hadfield, who states it was found in a brandy bottle on the beach at Awaroa, a stained piece of paper written in pencil:— • ; " Off Sydnoy,, lOth November,, 1889,. fishing boafc-i Kate .sinking. God help us" on one sidei-and on the reverse "Captain Harie, font men wflcVok."
