Shortly before eleven o'clock yesterday morning tho secretary of the Dunedin Jookoy Club was advised by telegram of the scratching of Ray's, Mitchelson's, Wehbe's, Gollan's, Clifford's, Stead's, Sherwin's, and Eutlierfonl'a horses for the Dunedin Cup, and Clifford's, Murphy's, Keaus, Mitchelson's, Gollan's, Wehbe's, and Rutherford's for tho Publicans Haiidi. cap. The telegrams were apparently all put in-together at Christolmroli Thesci'fttohing of Lisbon was signed by R. Derritt, but. tho owner, Slierwin, states he never authorised hie t|# to lis MM,
