MASONIC INSTALLATION.
The installation of "Worshipful Master and investiture of ofl'icers of tho Masterton Lodge, 1130, 8.C., took place in the Masonic Hall lust night, There was a moderate attendance of brethren, and a considerable number of visitors from St Mark's Lodge, Carterton, and the Thistle Lodge, 8.C., among those present being Past Masters Hooper and Gayfer, The ceremony of installing' Bro, D, Guild as Master of tho Lodge for tho ensuing term was ably and impressively performed by the Grand Lodgo Chaplain, Past Master W. E, Paige, who also invested the several officers, going through the elaborate ritual at great length, Tho following officers were invested 6. S. W. Dalrymple, S.W.; W. Sellar, Treasurer; P, Dickson, Secretary; A, Stewart, J.D. W. H. Ilobins, Tyler. BAN^UHT. Subsequently the brethren sat down to an oxcellent spread served up by Mrs Oorbett in her usual liberal manner, the fruits and deserts being a special feature of the banquet, The newly installed W.SI. Bro Guild, presided, with S.W, Bro Dalrymple in the vice-chair, The loyal toasts of the three Grand Masters were proposed by the ohairraan, after which, in a highly complimentary speech, P.M. Bro Macintosh proposed the health of the Worshipful Master. This was drank in bumpers and with musical honors, thcchairuian, in feeling terms, acknowledging the high honor that had been paid him, and the assistance and encouragement that he had received from his brother Masdns, Bro Dalrymple proposed "Sister lodges" responded to .by Bros Gayfer, Aitken, and W. Moore. Bro J Williams proposed the retiring officers and Bro T Wagg responded. The press was proposed by Bro Aitken and followed by the ladies to which Bros Bennison and Moore responded, Bro Sellar gavo trade tnd oorameroe and Bros Dickson and the Chairman replied with excellent 'speeches. The Tylers toast concluded the list, Songs at intervals were contributed by Bros Guyfer, Sellar, Moore Aitken, Dalrymple, and Hogg, and the festival brbkoupwith "Auld Lang Syne," shortly before midnight,
