Tho reply has not yet been forwarded, but it is understood the Club will reply refusing to entertain the request, and intimating their Intsntion of upholding their officials. .~:

Taratahi-Carterton Road Board. The ordinary monthly meeting oi the board was hold on Baturday, Present—Messrs H, R. Bunny (chairman), Wi Dorset, J, JRaynor, E, Morgan, J. Stevens, E. S, Maunsell, N. Grace, W. B. Allan, and G. W. Deller. The minutesof tho previous meeting wero read and continued.

Correspondence, From Mr W. tikoy, ro widening the road for about fifty chains abutting his property. Resolved that Mr Skey's application be acceded to, providing he signifies in writing to thfl board that he will not at any time claim compensation from the board for the land taken for widening tho road, Resolved on tho motion of Mr Maunscll,6oconded by Mr Rayner, that this board is in favour ot tho wheel-tiro byelaws being enforced similar to the South County Council; an. amendment, by Mr Stevens, that the matter bo deferred for further consideration of the North County Council, was lost, An application was received from residents at Daleb'eld usking the Board to compel Mr Price to remove bis. fenco from Wateison's line, Moved by Mr Stevens, seconded by. Mr Grace, and carried, that Mr Price have notioe to remove the said fence without delay, From Messrs Hendorson and Price re laying down a tram, Moved by Mr Morgan, seconded by Mr Rayner, that the board has no oobjection, pro*iding'cart traffic bo not interfered with, From Messrs Rolph and Rayner, asking that some extras bo allowed for. their contract on the Para Road'on account of tho extreme hard nature of the cutting. Mr Maunsell moved that US be allowed them. Mr Deller seconded the motion, which was put and lost, ;. Messrs Udy, Anderson, and Haigh waited on the board in reference to the Swamp road,' The warden gave an estimate of the work required, Resolved, that specifications be prepared and tenders called for the .said work, and that Messrs Stevens.Dorset, and Dollor meet this day weok to approve of. the specifications. "Mr Jame3 Hodder waited on tho board in reference to opening the road leading to his property by compelling Mr Price to remove the. fence from the said road, The road is a disputed boundary between the applicant and Mr Price. The: road was surveyed by Mr Anderson some ten' years ago, Mr Stevens moved, and Mr Morgan seconded, that Mr Price bo notified to remove all obstructions from the said road within twenty.one days, in default, the board will cause the samo to be removed.—Carried,
