According to Captain Farquhar, of the costal steamer Clansman, which arrived in harbour to-day from Monganui, there was a considerable quantity of copra washed up on tho beach betweon Naka Point and Taipu, in addjtion to the thousands of oranges whoso discovery was previously sported, This soems to point to tho fact that some vessel belonging to this port from the South Sea Islands has met with a disaster at sea, The oranges found wero quite fresh, and had not tho appearance of having been picked out of the vessel's cargo and thrown overboard as worthless. Tlioy did not appear to have been in tbe water long. The steamer Little Agnes is the only vessel |nqy/!| to be duo in Auckland from tho Islands.
