Foresters at Crystal Palace.
Tlio Foresters 'held .their, thirtyfourth annual fete at the Crystal Palace on August 26. The weather was fine, and the number or* people attracted, to this popular place of amusement was large' enough to ensure the success of the gathering, which has for its object the increase of the Distress Uift and Asylum fund. The strike in the East End is said to' have prevented the attendance of some members of the Order, and of not a few of their friends and sup- -* porters. Notwithstanding these absenlees, the muster of Foresters as i tlioy passed in procession through the "rounds was imposing from tho point of view of numbers bb well as of spootaole. Tho men and juveniles, of whom there waß a body, wore the regalia of their Order, . while many put on the full costume which is usually associated with the woodman of opera. With band? playing and banners flying, theprocession made its way- through crowds'of spectators, who, immediately the ceremony wim over, betook themselves to the many entertainments that the Palace always provides,
