RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races will lie run under (lie Rules of Racing 18S9, as adopted by thu Wellington Metropolitan Club, No qualification fee. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Handicap Hack Hurdles, Flying Handicap, Cup, Hack Handicap, and Martinborougli Handicaps close with the Secretary at Martinborougli, 011 SATURDAY, 23rd November, at I) p.m. Weights declared for Handicap Hurdles anil Handicap Hack Hurdles, Flying Handicap Cup, and line!; Handicaps on SATURDAY, 7tli December, a S p.m. Acceptances for same and Entrance for Maiden Hack Race on SATURDAY, December 14th ut !lp,m, The final pay for the Cup to be made on the ground an hour before tlio appointed time of starting for that event. Weights for the Martinborougli Handicap to be declared on the course after the Cup is run for. Acceptances for same to bo made 30 minutes before the race takes place. Tlio saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m; the first race will start 12 noon sharp. Each race will start punctually at the time appearing in the correct cards of the racps. No scratching of horses allowed exeep through the Secretary, and not later UianSOj minutes before the time of staiting. All entries and nominations to bo made in writing scaled ami addressed to the Secretary,entrance money to be enclosed, with color, sex, name, age, pedigree, and previous performance of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of tlio rider. The attention of owners is particularly directed to the followingNo nomination or acceptance will be accepted without the amount of requisite fees, No nominations, acceptances, or final payments will be taken after time named under any pretext whatever. No entry will ho received for any of the races except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, ami objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carryingout of this programme shall bo final. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing within 15 minutes after the wee is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started for weight for ago or handicap races, other than hack handicaps or weight for ago hack races, and lias not been nominated for at least six months previous to this meeting, for any handicap or weight for ago races, other than hack races, and is not nominated for Derbys, St Lcgcrs, Guineas or Oaks, and also for handicaps or weight for age races, other than hack races.
