The fact that Piscatotious is the only Fisherman and Tradncer nick obtainable, should be sufficient to entitle him to tlie respect of breeders, Yearlings by Piscatorious, out of thorough bred marcs, would bring at auction from 100 to 150 guineas in any part of the world.
Owners of mures who are desirous to breed high priced youngsters, should stick to winning strains, and put their mares to a horso bred on the lines of Piscatorious, | whose breeding alone would command him' a big season in any part of the woild. Piscatorious' first gut, when a yearling, brought 250 guineas. He was shipped to Sydney to take part in the big two-year-old events of New South Wales and Victoria, and Bince he landed in Sydney ho has been purchased at the high figure of 700 guineas by a well-known New South Wales sportsman. After his performance in the Hawkesbury Guineas in September. 1880, tbo " Town and Country Journal" stated that the owner of Kinglish had refused an offer of four figures for the colt, la speaking of this wit, the Australian sportins scribes always give him the prefix I of the" haudsonie" Kinglish. ■ It is no idle boast to say that Piscatorious is the best b«l sire south of the line, for undoubtedly ho is, and, moreover, he is in every respect what his pedigree would imply- amagnificientstamp of a thoroughbred racehorse, possessing great power, and full of stout aod fast blood. In color, Piscatorious is a beautiful dark brown, with black points, standing l(i hands Sin high, has a neat cxpressivo head, (never a neater or cleaner head set on a neck), indicative of a good temper His neck is long and muscular, with windpipe well detached; his shoulders are deep and well laid back, and Rood enoueh for a y thing. He's a grand topped 'tin. Piscatorious hurt himself in a wire fence when a youngster, and from the effects of this accident he has always suffered more or less during the whole time he was training.
