In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with tho Secretary in writing within 15 minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started for weight for age or handicap races, other than hack handicaps or weight for age liaok races, and has not been nominated fur at least six months previous to this meeting, for any handicap or weight fur age races, other than hack races, and is not nominated for Dcrhys, St Lcgcrs, Guineas or Oaks, and also for handicaps or weight for age races, other than back races.
