"Asmodeus," in tho Leader, tips Corbine, Singapore, or Dreadoonght. Another tip given is Loz, Carbine, and Dunkeld. For the Caulfield Guineas "Augur" fancies Singapore or Rudolph, Carrington and Prince Consort. " Asmodeus" picks Rudolph, Carrington, Prince Consort, or Adventuress. A third tip is Carrington, lludolph, Prince Consort. Six to four is laid on Eudolph for the Guineas, and five to four on Dreadnought for the V,R C.

His Excellency paid an official visit to the Hoys' and Girls' Colleges to-day, being accompanied by the Countess. Tho boys presented an address, and the College cadets formed a guard of honour. His Excellency expressed bis gratification at the visit, referring to tho Volunteer corps, of which ho spoko in high terms. His Excellency also performed the ceremony of opening the Presbytonan Church Bazaar.
