Australian. Sydney, October 7. A yacht containing 23 holiday makers was capsized in the harbour to-day. A girl named NollioThompson was drowned, two other girls, named Faliey and Stewart, are missing. It ig believed lite rest wore saved. October 8. Julian Thomas, "The Vagabond," who lias recently returned from Samoa, in ono of his letters on the condition of tbo natives there, accuses interested individuals of stopping the flow of charity from New Zealand and Australia to Samoa; In this letter he makes an urgent appeal for further shipments of rico to be sent to the residents, who are suffering from want of food.
