Upper Tauera Road Board.

Ordinary monthly meeting held October oth, 1889. Present -Messrs 0. E. Cockburn-Hood (chairman), J. Butherford, J. Mcßao, J, Millar, and J. P. Perry. Corespondence. From Property Tax Department, re Native rates. From the National Bank of New Zealand, enclosing cheque lor general and special rates. From Mr McKay, re felling scrub and forming about 20 chains of road leading to his property. Prom Mr McKay, cheque, ill payment of general and special rates. From Mr J, F. Ward, stating that the property, 119, Block VIII, Kovuarango, had been sold, Tho balance sheet for the year ending March 81st, 1889, was submitted by the clerk, duly audited and found correct. Balances—General Account, Or, £l3O 8s 3d; Loan Account, Cr, £2 7s 9d; Interest Account, Cr, £1612s lid. Resolved that the list of proporties bo forwarded to the Property Tax Cominisssioner as requested. That Mr McG'ormell be written to asking who is tho owner of tho property 118 Block VIII, Kopuarangi. That tho services of the Roadman be granted Mr McKay to form the road and put in two culverts, and Mr McKay ploughing same free of charge, That the Clerk bo instructed to take summonses against all defaulting ratepayers forthwith.
