Although I have hitherto avoided taking any part in public life, 1 aui in hopes that if returned 1 will bo able to assist in altering the position of Municipal affairs, which for a long time past has been a source of great dissatisfaction. My oarne3t endeavours will bo directed towards securing for the town nnd Borough an inexpensive, but efficient, roliablo and continuous water Bupply which will be available for lire prevention and stroet watering, and genorally for useful purposes, Iboliove that a littlo additional enterprise in this direction, and also in remit to gas oxton6ion, will bo tho moans of deducing the heavy insurance rates from [vhich business people nro specially suffering, and obviating a special rate.
