POOR MR JELLICOE Wellington, Monday. This morning, Mr Graham, K.M, dismissed tho charge of perjur against Dotectivo Benjamin witliou calling on Mr Bell for tho dufence Ho said he considered the evidence tendered as it was by Chemis, his wife and relations, was such that no jurj JrJsould convict on. Mr Jellicoo said it was no usi going on with tho caso against Detec' tWo Campbell, howevov strong tin evidence might be, after what Mi Graham had said. ~ The caso was accordingly dismissed, In answer to Mr 801 l the It, M suit defendants, in his opinion, came 0111 of tho charges without any slur what I over on their character. At Mr request Mit ■ Chemis was bound over uuder Nefarbefore a Grand Jury.
