The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Hack Racing Club was held at Featherston on Thursday mining. Mr McShane presided, and the following report was read: '• in submitting the animal report and balance sheet, your stewards regret il is not so satisfactory us tho previous year. The onuses were unavoidable, lirst, through the races having to bo twice postponed on account of tho weather, and secondly, the nominations, &c., not being equal to the first meetiug. The difference in the balanco sheet as compared with last year is about £BO. The st?fe? were

raised £ls, and the totalisator and privilege receipts were £2O less; but underall circumstances your stewards think the result is as satisfactory as could be expected. Tho balauco sheet showed receipts, including balance from last year, amount to £206 la lid, expenditure £lB6 la lOd, leaving a balance in hand ot £2O 0s lOd." The .resignation ol Mr, Bock as Secretary was accepted and a vote of thanks accorded him for past services. Tho following officers were then elected. Vice-President;'Mr F. Monktou ; Secretary, Mr A.
