MINING. Dunedin, August 22. The news from the- Nenthorne reefs is most encouraging. The prospects of all the mines on which work is done are improving almost daily, In the Justice claim one of tho latest discoveries, a piece of stone taken from a leader, on being crushed, yielded at the rate of C4oz to the ton, The leader was Gin in width, A piece taken lrom the Eureka reef crushed at the rate of 81oz to the ton, and the prospects from the Kose and Shamrock went GOoz to the ton, The prospect from the newly discovered reef at Waitahum, which, on crushing over two tons gave a return of 2Gdwts, seems nsignificant alongside the others,
