NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of tho Board, with the consent of tho ratepayers interested, to borrow the following sums under "Tho Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1880." 1, Two hundred and fifty pounds for formation and niotalling on the Ekctahuna-Parkville Road. To meet the interest and annual charges of tho loan a special rate of tlirceponce half-penny in tho pound will bo levied on tho ratable value of the following propertics-Sub-scction 1 to 31, (inclusive) of section 24 Ekotahuna Township. Cost of raising loan and lirst year's interest to come out of loan. 2, Threo thousand live hundred pounds for stumping, clearing, formation, metalling and culverts on all the roads in tho rural portion of the Wellington ' Special Settlement, No, 1 Block to be expended as follows: -15 miles of formation on the portion of roads nearest Newman Township, including culverts and metalling as tar as surplus from formation will allow, £2,990. Six miles of stumping and clearing on tho portion of road nearest the Mangatainoko Rivor, .£4BO. NOTICE is hereby given that tho Mitsterton Town Lands Trustees intend to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand, at its prcsont Session, praying fur leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled " The Mastorton Trust Lands Act, 1889." The objects of the said Bill aro ; - (a) To consolidate and amend the laws relating to the Management of.coilain Tilist Lands in tho Mastorton Small Farm Block, Wairarapa. (b) To repeal The Mastorton and Grcytown Land Management Act, 1871, audits Amendments bo far a« they relate to Masterton, and to re-enact the same bo far as applicable, To provitlo for disqualifying tenants of tho Trust, and persons concerned or participating in contracts or work for tho Trust within certain limits, for tho oflicn of Trustee. To provide ousting from office any disqualified Trustee. To prevent Trustoes from voting or discussing any matter In which he has any interest, To incorporate the Trustees and their sncceßsors. To provide that tho net revenue from Town Acres 42, 100, and 111 shall be devoted to scholarships for boys attonding the Publio Schools of tho district. To provide power to lease lands under "The Public Bodies Powers Act, 1887," excepting Sections C, 12,14, 15 and 16.
