Eketahuna Post Office.

(To the Editor.) Sin—While in Masterton I noticed an article in yesterday's issue of the Star which my fellow townsmen can hardly appreciate, however much they may strain a point to do so. There is not much notice to he taken of the greater portion of the article, as it is a mass of puerile bunkum, of raaudling superpraise, of stupid and ignorant misstatements, and over offioiousnoss, It 'says, " We have helped to confer a public post office on Eketahuna." If Mr Hogg means what he says, he certainly, has been the means of inflicting on the people of Eketahuna the most glaring and flagrant instance of public inconvenience with which it could be saddled at the; present time.. Who will care to go to a post office which is a quarter of a mile out of everybody's road. Very many of the settlers and others who : aie working in the bush do not find it convenient to come into the township until the completion of their, day's labor in the bush. With the post office in its old quarters they could obtain their letters, Ac, at almost any hour. What are the facts now ? Why wo shall only be able to get our letters delivered between the hours of 9 a.m. and S p.m.! A greater injustice to the convenience of tho people of Eketahuna can scarcely be imagined, and I sincerely hope that resentment will be offered by my fellow residents to this injustice.
