The Premier moved that the House at its rising adjourn till 7.80 on Monday for Government business only. Mr Fish warmly opposed the Premier's motion, and referred to a circular-sent out by the country members' whips, warning every one of tboir party to be in the House at 7.30, and on no account to leave it without pairing; and taunted the Premier with acting on the dictation of the country members. The effect of this Monday sitting would be to force the Bepi'esentatiori Bill down the throats of the people without giving the city members time to prepare a defence, Mr Ballance and others opposed the motion which on a division was carried by 52 to 29. The debate on the Representation Bill was resumed and occupied the House till 12 o'clock, when it was adjourned till Monday night.
