Carterton played Greytown for tho senior cup on Saturday last, Tho match took place on the Greytown ground. The scores were: Groytown six points, Carterton, 3 points; the former thus won, Grey town%. six was made up by three tries and a goal kicked from the field by " Big " Udy. Carterton's three was represented by a field goal off tho foot of J. Baumber, Kallaugher, Mitchell and a Maori got Greytown's tries. Tho game was slow with a good deal of scrummaging in which Greytown bad rather tho advantage Carterton's back play was good. Both played with weak teams, bat Carterton suffered most in having to fill up with emergencies, and several of what should have been second fifteen men. The cup match between tho Mastorton and Stajfceams was postponed on account of the weather,
Junior Cup Match. The Carterton second fifteen and: the To Ort team played against other at Carterton on Saturday. Carterton was short manned and had very much of a scratch team, The Natives won by twenty-four points to nil. Their score w«| twelvo tries and four goals,
