Both legs cut off by a Train.
Wanoanui, July 12. The train leaving here at 4,45 this afternoon ran over a man at Turakina platform. It is supposed he was lying acoss the the rails in a drunken state. He was picked up 10 minutes after tho train passed, aud it was found that tho lower part of both legs had been cut off, A doctor from i Morton was sent for' and he ordered the sufferer to be removed to the Wangauui Hospital to have a double amputation above the knees. A special train was sent out at 10 p.m. to fetch him.
