Auckland, July 12, , A young man of 18 named Felix | Nickesson had his left arm torn off through its having been caught in the ( machinery at Gibb's flaxmill at , Churchill. The Midland Uailway ' Christchuuoh July 12th. The tender of Joseph Jack and Co., of Greyruoutu, at £23,480 7s 3d, for the Abaura section of the Midland Eailway, will be accepted.
