Legislative Council. ■The Attorney-General gavenotice of the following new. Bills.: An Act to Amend the Hospitals and Charitable Aid Vote, and an Act to Alter the Constitution of the Legislative Council. He also introduced the following Bills, which were read a first time; An Act to to amend the Law of Libel; an Act relating to Post Cards and Postal Notes; an Act to amend the Marriage Act, 1880. House of Representatives. Leave of absence was granted Mr Boetham for one month on urgent private business. It was stated.it was pot intended to amend the Rabbit Act this session. A Bill will be introduced this session to ; proteot the wages of meohamca and others on the lines of ;he mechanics' lien laws of Amerioa. The following Bills were introduced i ind read.a first time:—Mr Hutchison, the * Criminal ; Evidence Bill ;Mr Samuel, a Bill to Consolidate and ; imend the.Law with .respect to i iuotioneers.; Mr T.
