The practical uses of the new water gaslight have been suooessfully demonstrated here, It is understood that the light will shortly bo introduced'into New Zealand, where it expected it will be largely used iu lighting the districts where ordinary gas is not obtainable. The promoters, in their prospectus, undertake to make tho gas at 4d per 1000 feet. Adelaide, June 7. Bonnay, who, on 23rd April, was arrested on the charge of beating his wife to death, has been acquitted.
