Wanawa, May 21. A fire was discovered at the stables connected with Sorumgeour's Hotel last night at a quarter-past nice. The fire brigade was on tho spot two minutes after tho alarm, had the water on at once, and put the fire out before it had obtained any hold. In a loosebox where the fire started the racer Slander was kept, The trainer went in through tho fire and smoke, and' got the horse out.
