Brisbane, May 16, : Tho schooner Roderiok Dhu baa arrived from Mallicolo Island, ono of the New Hebrides Group. Her captain reports being informed by the natives that a vessel bailing from Queensland was burnt off the coast there, and many of those on board perished in the flames, The survivors, the natives asserted, died ■ from starvation, Tho fire was caused by a woman dropping a matoh into a - vessel containing pitoli, which was '• stowed away under the bunks, and the flames spread so rapidly; that many had not time to reaoh the deck,, and lost their lives.
