Whareama Road Board.
The monthly meeting of the Board was held on Jfriday. PresentMessrs E, E. Meredith, E. Meredith, H, R, Elder, J, Morrison, and G. ' Moore. This being the first meoting ofthe Board since the election of members, the first business was to eleot a ohairman. Mr R, E, Meredith proposed Mr Edwin Meredith as ohairman. There being no response, Mr E. Meredith said ho would second his own nomination. Mr Moore moved, and Mr Morrison seconded, the nomination- of Mr jiL ' fi. Elder. % The two nominations on being put • to the meeting resulted in the unanimous return of Mr Elder, the two Messrs Meredith having left the room. The Clerk then read the minutes of tho previous meeting which were road and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE.
