The schooner A won has'been the source of apparently endless litigation.Captain Wug, who held possession whs arrested un a warrant for trespass, but owing to a delect in the information lie was -not convicted. He has since laid an information for £SOO against ibe informant and the Justice of the Peace for wrongful imprisonment, Captaiti Wug look out an j information against J. Harding and Captain Page lor trespass. Page sailed away on Saturday for Westpo'rt. Harding was charged at the Police Court today with trespass on the schooner after being warned to leave by the part owner, George Wug. The evidrnce showed that Wug wan commissioned by Harding to ■ buy the schooner, and Was to put £SO into the investment and take pan prolitß us master, none of the £SO being paid; mid Harding and the vendor alleged Wug dropped out of the tiansactioii, the vendor saying he never t'ecognised Wug beyond acting as agent. Hardnow paid the whole purchase money, but Wug will not give up the ship's register. The Bench saw no evidence of Wng's ownership, and dismissed the information. A warrant has since been issued for I lie arrest of Page for the larceny of Wug's effects, which are on the Bchooner whwh has sailed.
Export Trade, Napier, May 8. By tho last mail particulars are to hand of two important additions to the Colonial Union Company's fleet of steamers. The Star of Victoria iB 8240 tons register, and the Ktor of England 3150 tons. Both are quite new. boats, with triple expansion engines. They will not compete for passenger trade, being intended onlv for cargo. Each will carry 1000 ton's of frozen meat, and 4000 bales of wool.
Tho exports from Hawkes Bay this jear will exceed 1,000,000 sterling, showing an increase of over 80 per cent on last year's returns, The chief increases aro in wool, -frozen meat and timber.
