Fatal Accident.

Rokitika, April 25. A disastrous coach accident occurred between this place and Kumara about midday, Cameron's mail coach wus nearing Kumara, and when going down Sandy's Hill the brake would not work, The coach gained a great impetus, and the horses were sont into a gallop. When near the bottom of the hill, tie coach'capsized against the fence, tho king holt jumped out, and the hows galloped into Kuinarn with the forewheols. There were 16 passengers on tha coach,. all more or less injured. A young man named William White, ofGreymouth, had his leg broken in three places, his arm broken, and he received other internal injuries. Ho died this afternoon in great puin, Constable Bennett was injured about the legs and body. It is believed he has two ribs broken, Miss Benyon has a rib broken, Galbraitb, a jockey has the small bone of his wrist broken, Taylor, the diiver, had his chest strained; and is more or less injured internally. All the others are more or less hurt, though not seriously. Tho toacli wbb smashed to pieces. Tulley, a runner of the West Coast Times, was on the top seat of the coach with two little girls, He threw them into tho bushes as the coach was going down, and they escaped uninjured, He had no time to savo himself, and is. much bruised,
