The Beer Duty Cases.
Heavy Fines. Wellington, Friday. Three charges against the Junction Brewery Company, and three against Owen McCardle, secretary of the Company, for neglecting to enter cortain material received and purchased for the production of beer, was heard to-day, Mr Robinson, R,M„ inflicted a fine of £SO with costs on each information, and intimated that bad the whole of the charges been laid against the Company, he would have inflicted the ' maximum penalty in each case, The forfeiture of the plant was ordered,
