Masterton Town Lands Trust.

The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Friday, April sth. Prosent: Messrs W. Lowes (Chairman), A. W. Reuall and W. Perry. Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, Public School Pionio. ilr Kenall said the question of paying the money expended by the School Committee in prizes was left over to the present meeting. The Committee could see no way out of tho difficulty. He would like to know how the fuuds stood.. The Chairman said the Trust account was in credit £2lO 17s 4d, but that did not affect the question. He thought the matter might romain in abeyance until they had a fuller meoting. Mr Renall said they would have an olection and two new trustees by that time. Tho new brains might throw a light on to the difficulty. It was resolved to leave the matter over until tho next meeting. Accounts.

Messrs Chapman and Fitzgerald submitted an account for £7 10s 6d, for transfer of ten aores part 104, Mastorton Small Farm Settlement, which was passed for payment. Accounts for printing and advertising amounting to £1 8s Od were passed for payment. '' Mr Buimy submitted an account for £8 188 for preparing lease of reserve for J. Ewington. The Seoretary said the lease was put up to auction and a deposit paid, but the lessee had not taken possession, nor would he pay for the lease. The Secretary was instructed to inform Mr Bunny that the arrangement with the trustees and himself was that the ■ charge for drawing up Town Lands leases should bp two guineas.
