Mauriceville Road Board.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on 30th Maroh, 1889, Preßent—Guilder Gtnidersen (chairman), Peter Hudson, Hugh W. Jackson, and John Jjannister. The minutes of the previous ■ mcutins; were read and confirmed. Correspondence,: From late Receiver of Lands Rovenue re accrued thirds; from Property Tax Department re soliouie for expenditure of native rates; from A, J, JRawson re i>lan of district; Property Tax Commissioner re statement of values of real property. Tenders were received on 9th March for S culverts on Mauriceville West Road: Charles Larsen, LlO, accepted; Neils Person, Ll3 10s, declined. Resolved that tho Clerk be instructed to write to MrEawsou thanking him for his offer and inform him that it is not required at present, The action of the Chairman in accepting the tender of Charles Larsen for 5 culverts was approved. Kesolved that tenders be called at once for clearing slips on Jaokson's Boad, tenders .to close on 10th April, The Chairman be authorised to accept tenders and that notice bo placarded attlio bridge on Jackson'B Road and at Mr Gundersen's store. .Resolved that acorued thirds bo applied for to be spent on the different roads in the Mauriceville road district, The Collector reported rates collected from 20th February to March 30th, L 8 15s, Tho Treasurer reported a credit balance of L2lßlos 3d. Accounts amounting to L2l4s 8d were passed for payment. Messrs Bannister and Jackßon were appointed to sign cheques.
