It would thus be seen that the charge of 20s per week made upon patients did not' cover' the cost of their keep. - .' The Secretary reported upon sundry ex-patients who had left the Hospital and were; still , indebted to the Trustees, His report was endorsed. ' - It was resolved that the sum of 17s. owing to H. Mawhinay for firewood should be retained as ,a set-off against what was due by him for.the keep of his sou whilst in the Hospital undergoing treatment. ' Messrs Perry, Keith, and lorns were appointed a sub-committee to arrange for the grounds in front of the Hospital being ploughed, harrowed and grassed. The- Chairman said that taking

into, consideration tlie Satisfactory manner in which the Custodian carried out his work and that Dr Hoslting'a report upon Mb abilities was so excellent, he thought the time had come when the Trustees could vote'him. an increase of salary to the extent of £lO per annum, He moved to that effect, •

His remarks were freely endorsed by the other members present, and the motion was carried unanimously. . The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr F. H. Wood and convey the thanks of the Trustees to him for the donation of a quantity of corru-' gated iron which tie had kindly given for the use of the Hospital at their request. Mr J. C. Boddington was appointed visiting member for the ensuing month and the meeting adjourned.
